Are public holidays counted as business days?

No — but this calculator does not know your local holidays. It only excludes Saturdays and Sundays. If a public holiday falls on a weekday, subtract it from the business days total yourself.

What if the end date is before the start date?

The calculator still counts the days in the range. The business days result is shown as an absolute count, so the order of the two dates does not matter for the total.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Expecting public holidays to be excluded

Fix: This calculator only excludes Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays vary by country and are not subtracted. Remove them manually from the result if your region observes them.

Counting the start day as a business day when it is a weekend

Fix: If the range starts on a Saturday, that day is counted as a weekend day, not a business day. The calculator inspects each day individually.
