Common Mistakes to Avoid
Entering marks for one subject as the total of all subjects
Fix: The total should be the maximum marks for the same set of exams the obtained marks cover. Mixing one subject's score with all subjects' total gives a wrong percentage.
Confusing CGPA with a direct percentage
Fix: CGPA is on a different scale (often 10). To convert CGPA to percentage, multiply by 9.5 (CBSE) or use your board's conversion factor — do not treat CGPA as a percentage directly.
Rounding before calculating
Fix: Use the raw marks for the division, then round the final percentage. Rounding intermediate values can shift the result near division boundaries.
