Common Mistakes to Avoid
Entering points lost instead of points earned
Fix: The numerator is the score you earned, not the points you missed. If you missed 8 out of 50, enter 42 as earned, not 8.
Forgetting to multiply by 100
Fix: Dividing earned by total gives a decimal like 0.84. Multiply by 100 to express it as 84%.
Using the wrong total for a weighted test
Fix: If a test has bonus questions so the total exceeds 100, use the actual total possible. The percentage may exceed 100% in that case.
